Knowye that for divers good causes 13 Acres.. and Considerations but more especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of Five Shillings of good and lawful Money for our Uve paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia Whave Given Granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us our Heirs and Successors DOGive Grant and Confirm Unto Joseph Eckolds Junr an Island Containing thirteen Acres lying and being in the County of Halifax in Station River near the Month of Buffals Creek and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at the Lower end thence up the North River as it Meanders to the Upper end of the Island thence down the South River as it Meanders to the Beginning With all p. To have hold &c. To be held go. yielding and Paying &c.
