=== Historic Preservation and Archives, Tarrant County === Email from Dec 30, 2025: {{Quote| Good morning, The William Walker Echols biographical file only has one item, an obituary, which I’ve attached for you. We do typically charge $0.10 per page for copying, but since it’s just a single item, I’m happy to share it free of charge. It looks like we do have a 1938 Paschal High School yearbook, the year and school referenced in his obituary. We also have a small selection of materials related to other Echols, though they may be a different family, including a book by Gordon Echols, Sgt. Bob (Robert) Echols, and Gus W. and Thomas of Echols Brothers Radiator. These items are not digitizes, so if you’d like to see anything, you can visit the Archives, and we can have materials ready for you. We have a few architectural drawings from the Geren firm, but our records don’t list Echols as the specific designer. If you haven't already, you may want to do some searching on The Portal to Texas History. Here's a link to a search for "William W. Echols" which brought back a few possibly relevant results. You can play around with your search terms or use the filters to the left to help narrow down what comes up. You may also want to check in with the Fort Worth History Center. They may have some materials related to the family or architectural firm that could be of interest. They also have a genealogy librarian on staff who might have some tips on how to find relevant information. Let me know if there's anything else we can do for you! Thank you }}
