Possibly the "Samuel Echols" referenced along with a "John Satterwhite" (FamilySearch), but need to compare against the other Samuel Echols.
In "Tallapoosa. Death Records 1888-1898" (FamilySearch), there is a record for a "Mary Echols"; this may be "Martha Echols", the wife of this Samuel Echols. Stated information in the register:
- Date of death: January 29, 1893
- Place of birth: Alabama
- Age: 44
- Sex: Female
- Color: White
- State: Married
- Place of death: Tallapoosa Beat 15
Note that the record indicates that Mary was "Married" rather than "Widowed" which is inconsistent with the wife of Samuel Echols in 1893.
